The design frames solar midday, when sun sunlight hits the bottom of the structure, without touching either wall. Over the course of a day, the sunlight moves from the West wall at sunrise, to the East wall at sunset. The North and South walls are angled to the sun at midday on the December and June Solstices. Therefore, over the course of a year, sunlight moves from one end of the space on the December Solstice, to the other end of the space on the June Solstice.
